A Morning Routine for An Unstoppable Day

Starting the day off with a morning routine is a great way to get energized for whatever is to come. It takes time for a routine to be set in place; however, once it becomes part of your lifestyle you will realize how revitalizing and refreshing it could be. Additionally, it helps bring structure to your day. There are a plethora of ways that you could compose your individualized morning routine.

Drink 16 ounces of water when you wake up

Your body goes through 6-8 hours of no fluids simply because you are sleeping. Drinking at least 16 ounces of water when waking up is a great way to charge your internal organs and fire up your metabolism. Going for weight loss? This is a great way to flush out toxins and fill yourself up with a substance that is NO calories and great for your body. Don’t like the taste of water? Then add a lemon which helps with the flushing of toxins.

Give your brain some oxygen

Take some time in the morning to get your blood circulating. My way of getting that done is meditation. Meditating for a short period of time had been shown to increase blood flow to the brain, increased attention, and assists in self-regulation. If mediation is not your cup of tea, then some morning yoga or a run is also a great way to help with getting blood to your brain. If you treat it as something as you want to do, instead of needing to do, then it could lead to some meditative effects.

Plan out the fun

Every day brings something new and could bring up things unexpectable. That aspect of life we might not have control over but creating a short list of attainable goals for that day is a fantastic ways to organize your day. If you’re like me, then crossing things off my list is an amazing morale booster and helps my sanity.

Do Something you Love

We will always have work to do and deadlines to make. We deserve to spend at least a few moments if not more to do something that brings us happiness internally. It could be brewing and drinking your coffee in your patio or playing with your dog. There are endless possibilities and only you would know what really would bring you that happiness. Taking 10 minutes out of your 1,440 minute day is not much but could really strengthen your sense of self and contentment.

There are a multitude of possibilities to help kick start your day with a energized and authentic you. You can start off small and see where that takes you!
