Karina Ortiz-Suarez

    Karina Ortiz-Suarez (she/her) is a fourth-year Naturopathic Medical Student at the National University of Natural Medicine completing an additional dual degree for a Master’s in Global Health. She serves as the Chief Financial Officer for the 2025–2026 academic year. Originally from Puerto Rico, she completed her high school undergraduate education in Richmond, Virginia, earning a bachelor’s degree in biomathematics. Prior to pursuing naturopathic medicine, Karina spent ten years working in process management at a financial institution, where she developed strong skills in systems-based thinking, organization, and collaboration.

    As a future naturopathic doctor, Karina has a strong interest in community medicine and comprehensive, patient-centered care. She has completed diverse clinical rotations, including primary care, family medicine, OB/GYN and obstetrics, substance use disorders, oncology, cardiology, and autoimmune conditions. She is passionate about integrating education, accessibility, and interdisciplinary collaboration to support individuals and communities in achieving long-term health and wellness.
