Rachelle Jean-Paul

Chapter President | University of Bridgeport School of Naturopathic Medicine

Rachelle is a 4th year naturopathic medical student at the University of Bridgeport School of Naturopathic Medicine. Her anticipated graduation date will be in May 2021. During her medical school years, she has taken on many leadership roles, two of which include NMSA UB chapter social chair and eventually president.

Natural medicine is strongly rooted throughout the world and should be recognized for its multifaceted uses. To Rachelle, naturopathic medicine means providing culturally-based, age-old healing modalities for all those in need, especially those who have been traditionally marginalized from more contemporary approaches to medicine. After graduating, Rachelle will focus her practice on general health care.

Prior to starting her academic career at UBSNM, Rachelle completed her B.S. in Molecular and Cell Biology at the University of Connecticut. She also completed a Masters in Public Health. Following her masters, she worked as a research associate at a Connecticut-based federally qualified health center. The skills acquired from her past career will help her develop evidence-based treatment protocols for her future patient base
