Thea Marx
- Location: University of Bridgeport
Thea Marx, a fourth year student, is nearing the end of a fascinating journey in pursuit of a lifelong dream. Raised on a cattle ranch on the Wind River Indian Reservation of Wyoming, Thea judged livestock, held leadership positions in state and national agricultural organizations and served as an ag lender in the banking industry. With a degree in marketing she excelled as a business entrepreneur before becoming an acknowledged expert and published author in the field of western design and executive director of the Western Design Conference in Cody, Wyoming. She produced numerous runway fashion shows throughout the country and modeled in many others in New York City, Albuquerque, Indianapolis and Los Angeles. Following the passing of her grandmother at age 98, whom she had taken care of for the last 11 years of her life, Thea embarked on her dream of becoming a naturopathic physician. Thea has a love for medicine and helping others and recently returned from Namibia where she volunteered in a rural clinic on the edge of the Kalahari Desert. Always busy with some project, Thea is also the proud mother of Aspen, her 18 year old daughter, who is a college freshman.
