Veronica Gayoso, also known as Vero, is a third year ND student at Bastyr University in Kenmore, Washington. Moving across the country from her hometown in Southern Florida, she arrived in Seattle fired up and eager to explore her passions for nature-based healing. Following her Bachelor of Science dual degree in Psychology & Chemistry (2020), she went on to earn her Masters of Public Health (2022), both from Florida State University. Vero has utilized these foundational understandings to advocate for the health policy and legislation required to expand equitable and safe access to naturopathic healthcare. Outside of school, Vero loves to attend music shows, adventure through nature parks around the PNW with friends, craft herbal medicine, learn about quantum theory, and get into a creative cooking flow. She is passionately curious about the world around her, full of love, prepared to navigate challenges, and excited to co-create experiences that work to further advance the ND medical student experience!
