Dr. Desta Golden, ND, MS is a naturopathic physician with midwifery training and a Master’s
degree in human nutrition, graduating from National University of Natural Medicine and
University of Bridgeport respectively. In addition to private practice and naturopathic
consulting, she has been a leader in the profession for over a decade, promoting professional
advancement within many different naturopathic organizations.

As a past NMSA International President and current Executive Director, Dr. Golden brings to
NMSA a passion for supporting students and the future of the naturopathic profession. She and
her husband are based in Virginia, raising their three children and flock of backyard chickens.
